Abstract:
This study was conducted in Clinical Pathology and Internal Medicine- Nephrology unit- Departments, Zagazig University Hospitals.This study included 50 subjects classified as follow: Group (1): 20 apparently healthy individuals serve as a control group. They were 10 males and 10 females.Group (2): 10 patients with end stage renal disease) on regular haemodialysis (H.D). They all receive supplementary rHuEpo as a replacement therapy. Group (3): 20 patients with end stage renal disease) on regular haemodialysis (H.D). None was receiving supplementary rHuEpo.The patients and the control subjects were subjected to the following:- Full history taking..Full clinical examination.Laboratory investigations, which include.Complete blood count including indices .Reticulocytic count.erum iron and TIBC .Serum ferritin.Special investigation: Assessment of sTfR by Nephylometry.
