in this study, 40 chronic hcv patien were diagnosed by second generation elisa and confirmed by pcr for hcv rna 30 males and 10 females with amean age 41 years were examined and matched to hcv- antibodies negative healthy subgekts served as control group 5 males and 5 females with mean age of 36 years.
