Abstract:
The aim of the present was to describe the development changes occuring in the submandibular glands of the albino the rats at birth weaning and adult by means of light and electron microscopy 15known aged male albino rats were used in this study. They were divided into three 5animals eadh. Their ages were 1,21and 90days. These ages corresponded to birth weaning and adult ages respectively. The rats Were housed under normal conditions then the rats were ansthesed and the submandibular glands were dissected and prepared for light and electron microscopy. 1-Serial paraffin section(3-5 um) were cut by roatory microtome then stained and examined by light microscope. 2 -Ultrathin section (50_70 nm)were cut by glass knives then stained and examined by the electron microscope.
