Abstract:
the polymorphonuclear leucocytes form the frontline defender against invading bacteria ,so defectivefunction of polymorphonuclear leucocytes predispose toincrease risk of bacterial infection .Chronic tonsillitis and adenoid hypertrophy arethe most common disease of throat which usually followacute or subacute attacks of adeno-tonsillitis .The impact of the microbiological environment onthe developing lymphoid tissues of the tonsils result inone of the most common surgical procedures inchildhood, The removal of tonsils and adenoid.Adeno-tonsillectomy become such a popular operationThe humoral aspect of the most important role oftheir immunological function and hence liable to changeif they are involved in a chronic inflammatory processor if they are surgically removed .The aim of this work was to assess neutrophilchemotaxis in children subject pre-and post-operatively.
