To reach this goal our study was conductedon 145 patients (125 bilharzial and 20 non-bilharzialcontrol patients )between 7-16 years old of both sexes. They were assessed by microscopical examination ofand bacteriological examination.Specimens for bacteriological examination werecollected under complete aseptic precaution, initiallyfrom mid-stream urine. These specimens were cultured ona combination of media (Nutrient and Mac-Conkey’sagar)cover the isolation of the most probable organismscausing urinary tract infection.Only 24 cases out of 125 simplebilharzia1 pat-ient s we refound to be urinary infected. In males we18.4 % of them had infection and the highest in-cidence was between 13-16 years.
