Scleroma attempt to improve methods of early diagnosis and standardisation of treatment

Summary with the aim of improvement of methods for early diagnosis of solero arid standerdisation of-treatment, 70 oases of scleroma of rying age groups and both sexes, 30 cases of atrophic rhinitis were also included since the olinioal picture simulates the early stage of rhinoscleroma very olosely, and a contrel group of tic normal per.ens, all thes e 3 group were 1-Jtudied, the results oould summarized as followings A Statisticnl rasul ts 1-Scleroma is not uncomon in Egypt, the incidence of the disease is higher than what periviously reported 2- The disease has been found to occur in particulary cleen and well to do patients, as poor hygienic habits. 3- The ages of the patients varied from 11 years old to 60 years old. 4- The highest incidence laying in the age between 21 to 30 years old 26 cas es percentage 37 from 31 to 40 years old there were 18 cases percentage 25,7 % and from 11 to 20 years old there were 15 cases percentage 21,5 % 1.e the disease attacked the patients in their erly between the age of 11 to 40 years old 5- A higher percentage of females were affected 60 % of oases 28 case compared with 40 % males C 28 case6- The highest incidence in both Sexes was at the age from 21 - 30 years old, 33 % of femel~ cases 14 cases 43 % of male cases ( 12 case ) were affected in that age group.
