biochemical studies of abnormal keratinization

The aim of this work is to study the activity of steroid sulphatase enzyme in different types of inchyosis and their comparison with normal controls and other keratin – izing disorders. 49 cases comprise the material of this work . they were classified into 5 groups: groupI: 16 cases with autosomal dominant ichthyosis, from both sexes, the age ranged , the age ranged from 6 to 19 years. GroupII: 11 cases with x-linked ichthyosis. All were males , ranging in age from 8 to 22 years.
