This work aimed at the study of the proposed immunepathologic mechanisms that lead to blister formation in bullous pemphigoid. A short account on the basement membrance zone of skin and its components and functions was presented. Afull review of the old and recent literatures on bullous pemphigoid with its immunopathologic mechanism of bulla formation was presented.
