Abstract:
through the advance of intravenous anaesthesia, several drugs with various chemical grouping not belong to barbiturates have become available as intravenous anaesthetic agents, these either are propanidid, althesin and etomidate which are characterized by rapid onset of action or act as slower basal hypnotics such as ketamine, benzosodia-zepines and neuroleptanalgesics.
