Abstract:
PAD has been found to be not only a major risk factor for lower extremity amputations, but also for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease.Most patients with significant peripheral arterial disease are asymptomatic. Asymptomatic PAD is thought to occur in approximately 12% to 18% of the general population. Early screening and diagnosis of asymptomatic PVD can be easily achieved and can possibly reduce the risks of further cardiovascular complications.This clinical observation that diabetic patients often develop complications in the feet but seldom in the hands had given some authers the motive to study the difference of blood glucose between toes and fingers as regard skin microcirculation.The aim of the work is to determine the difference between random blood glucose level in upper and lower extremities in patient with type 2 Diabetes mellitus , and its relationship with vascular complications in lower extremity by using ultrasound Doppler as a diagnostic procedureThis study included one hundred persons, they were divided into three main groups:
