Effect of chemoirradiation with Gemcitabine in locally advanced bladder cancer

The aim of the present study was to evaluate the efficacy andtoxicity of chemoirradiation with Gerncitabine in management of cases ofinvasive transitional cell carcinoma ofthe bladder where Thirty patientswere included.The workup for staging included clinical examination, laboratoryinvestigations , cystoscopy , making use of the available imagingfacilities U.S, C.T scanning were used.The mean age ofpatients was 60 years with predominance of the7th decade. the male female ratio was 4: I.Their main presenting symptoms were hematuria, dysuria andfrequency of rnicturation.
