Study of some haematological parameters in patients with insulin resistance syndrome

The aim of the present study was to study the relation between insulinresistance syndrome and some hematological parameters including red cellmass as a risk factor for thrombosis.This study has been carried out on 100 subjects that were divided into4 groups, 40 obese non diabetic, 40 first degree relatives of type 2 diabetes,10 patients with thromboembolic disease (myocardial infarction and stroke)and 10 apparently healthy participants as a control group.
