Study of pancrayic B cell function and insulin resistance in non diabetic egyptian patients with chronic liver diseases

The aim of this work was to evaluate the actual presence or absenceof hyperinsulinemia in non diabetic Egyptian patients with chronic liverdiseases and if present; is it as result of insulin resistance orhypodegredation.This study conducted on 60 patients divided into 3 groups1st group: 20 patients (10 males and 10 females) with fatty liver.2nd group: 20 patients (10 males and 10 females) with chronichepatitis without liver cirrhosis.3 rd group : 20 patient (10 males and 10 females) with liver cirrhosisIn addition to 20 healthy (age and sex matched) volunteer taken as acontrol.
