Risk factors in recurrent ischaemic cerebrovascular strokes

the aim of our work was to shed more light on the risk factors predisposing to recurrence of ischaemic.we studied fourty patients in two groups.the first group consisted of twenty patients with ages-53.7+_11.97- suffering of a recurrent cerebral ischaemic stroke.the second group consisted of tewenty patients had past at least four yearsafter a previous ischaemic stroke without recurrence,with ages-56.7+_6.54-we submitted our subjects to risk factors oriented clinical assessment computed tomography and extensive laboratory screening including blood sugar,red blood cell count,haemoglobin concentration ,erythrocyte sedimentation rate.
