Local Rifampicin And Corticosteroids <>/ In Treatmen Of

The aim of this work was to evaluate the combinedeffect of rifampicin and corticosteroids locally in treatmentof scleromatous patients.Fourty patients with rhinoscleroma were included in thiswork, and were subjected to the followings :--1- Complete history .-2- E.N.T. examination.-3- Histo - pathological study.They were divided into 3 groups :-A Group ”A”: This group comprise of 1 0 patients, theyreceive local treatment by rif mpicinonly.B Group ”8”: This group also comprise of 1 0 patients,they receive local treatment bycorticosteroids only.Group ”e”:This group comprise of 20 patients, theyreceive local treatment by combinedrifampicin and corticosteroids .Refampicin and corticosterids were applied locally into thenasal lesion in two forms :-•1- Nasal instillations :Used mainly in the atropic stages.One ampoule of rifampicin ( rifocin - lepetit ) 125 rnq,and / or one ampoule of dexamethasone 8 mg, each( 90 )
