Abstract:
in children shunted for infantile hydrocephalus,it is not clear why the clinical presentation after shunt obstruction varies between acute and and subtle neurological deterioration.a hypothesis was introduced that the progress in the infantile hydrocephalic process after shunting depends primarily upon the CSF dynamics present at the time of shunt insertion .this hypothesis has been investigated both clinically and experimentally.
