Abstract:
This study was conducted on 50 patients who were suffering from sensorineuralhearing loss. They were attending the Egyptian military hospitals (Kobry El-Koba, ElMaadi and Alexandria military hospitals from January to June 1993. Their age wasranging from 25-50 years.Our patients were subjected to:. History taking .. Examination:- General examination.- E.N.T. examination.- Audiological examination.- Brain-stem electric response audiometry.- Radiological examination include:- Stenver’s view.- Towne’s view.- C.T. scan.The results of our work were as follow 45 patients suffering from cochlear hearingloss due to many causes and 5 patients suffering from retrocochlear hearing loss andwhen this 5 cases investigated with C. T. scan onl y one of them gave pathological fmdingsand the other 4 cases giving no pathological fmding with C. T. scan and this results arenot markedly differ from a study had done in department of Oto Laryngology, Tohoku
