evaluation of some antibiotics on rhinoscleroma

scleroma, is a disease which is endemic infew places in the world. Egypt is considered to beone of the endemic areas. In Egypt the disease isprevalent in Sharkia.The aim of this work to evaluate the effect ofsome antibiotics on Klebsiella rhinoscleromatis whichis the causative agent of rhinoscleroma, after cultureand sensi ti vi ty.This study include 80 patients with scleroma ofdifferent stages. We had found that the disease wasmost commonly seen in the early reproductive period inthe 20 - 40 years age group. Both sexes are affectedbut males are more affected. There was a family his-tory in five cases.
