Abstract:
The aim of t hf.s work was study the relationbetween fungus affection of the external ear canaland fungus affection of the skin elsewere in thebody_’3 patients of both sexces and different agescomprised the baterial of our study. They wereclollected from the ouipatien-~ clinic of E.N.T atZagazig University Hospital, and were classified’ .into4 groups aocording to themr clinical diagnosis.Selected materials including a small fragmentof the plug or debris from the external ear canalor scales from skin lesion or particles from thenails affected were oollected from every case; THeywere subjected to mycological axaminationincluding both direct microscopy and culture of thecollected samples.In general Aspergillus niger was commonestisolate fungi (52.9%) followed by Aspergillusflavus (29,4%) Penicillium, cladosporium, Cephal-esporium, Candida, Pacilomyces and Crizosporium
