t-mycoplasmas are small unicellular procaryotic cells,highly pleomorphic, due to the lack of rigid cell wall which cause its resistance to penicillin and sulphonamids. they can reproduce in cell free medium. on agar the centre of the whole colony is characters- tically embeded beneath the surface.
