Abstract:
Seborrheic keratosis is a common benign epidermal tumour characterized by one or more sharply defined, slightly raised lesions (as if stuck on surface). Most of them have soft velvety or finely verrucous surface, may be with keratotic plugs. Irritation of the lesion may lead to crustation and inflammation.Different treatment modalities are used for treatment of seborrheic keratosis as electrosurgery, curettage, shave excision and trichloracetic acid. Our study of 30 patients with seborrheic keratoses concluded that cryotherapy is an effective, easy and relatively cheap method for treatment of seborrheic keratosis.
