Abstract:
Studies were done on human peripheral blood lympho-cytes from 51 subjects, including normal individuals (30eference group) as well as patients suffering from acuteleukaemia, chronic lymphocytic leukaemia,and histiocy~ic sarcoma (total 21). Of thesecases of acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, one case oflymphocytic leukaemia, 6 cases of diffuse lympho-and 4 cases of histiocytic sarcoma.Complete clinical examination was done for every caseclinica 1 st ag ing 0 f ca ses 0 f non-Hodgk in • s lymphomaperformed. Complete blood picture was done for every8e. Biopsy and histopathological examination of lymphestablish the diagnosis.Periodic acid Schiff Reaction (PAS) for peripherald was performed to a 11 cases by the method 0 f Quaglino~yhoe (1959) and the results were recorded.The PAS reaction is applied for the demonstration ofblood cells a positive reaction usuallyof glycogen .•In healthy normal individuals most lymphocytes lackin only a small number of lymphocytes (0-20)6)be demonstrated as rew minute or coarse well.
