Abstract:
Renal a steadystrophy is a well known complication of chronic renal failure. Despite patients with moderate chronic renal failure (glomerular filteration 50 ml/min/1.73m2) rarely experience symptoms of ROD, more than 50% have abnormal bone histologic characteristics. Bone biopsy is the gold standard for the diagnosis of ROD. However, it is an invasive maneuver and it is not justified in asymptomatic patients. So this study was carried out to evaluate biochemical markers of ROD; TALP, BALP and OC as markers of bone formation and ICTP as a marker of bone resorption and their correlation with iPTH and bone mineral density in both dialytic and predialytic children with chronic renal.
