the aim of this study is to establish the role of ct in diagnosis bowel obstruction.This work studied the usefulness of CT scan III evaluation ofbowel obstruction and for differentiation of bowel obstructionfrom other condition resulting in bowel dilatation.CTbowelpresencecriteria for bowel obstruction include dilated proximalloops and collapsed or normal distal bowel loops withof transition zone.CT provides information about the specific cause, andlocation of obstruction also about the extra luminal structures liketumors.This study was carried on 30 patients complaining of signsand symptoms of intestinal obstruction. Results of radiographywere compared to surgical results and patient clinical course.
