Abstract:
In order to study the effect of aging on the vestibularresponse 50 subjects of different ages complaining of dizziness~re investigated. They were classified to two groups according tothe age and each group was further divided to two subgroupsaccording to the nature of their dizziness.GROUP 1:Comprised 25 patients (9 males and 16 females) suffering frombal ance d i so rde rs wit h a mean age 35.84 years.SUBGROUP AI: Comprised 15 patients (6 males and 9 females)suffering from attacks of true vertigo, with amean age 35.4 years.SUBGROUP BI: Comprised 10 patients (3 males and 7 females)suffering from attacks of dysequilibrium, witha mean age 36.5 years.GROUP 2:Comprised 25 patients (8 males and 17 females) suffering frombalance disorders, with a mean age 65.95 years.SUBGROUP A2: Comprised 17 patients (6 males and 11 females)suffering from attacks of true vertigo, with amean age 64.8 years.SUBGROUP B2: Comprised 8 patients (2 males and 6 females)suffering from attacks of dysequilibrium, witha mean age 68.4 years.
