Abstract:
Nasal allergy is an immunologic disorder which plays animportant role in the practice of otorhinolaryngologyAllergic rhinitis is an IgE _ mediated hypersensitivitydisease of the mucous membranes of nasal airways characterized bysneezing , nasal blockage and dischargeOne of the recent lines of treatment of allergic rhinitis isdirected towards the prevention of mediator release from mastcells DSCG is advantageous when applied intranasal by allowing ahigher local concentration to be achieved wi th reduced risk ofsystemic effects .The drug has no intrinsic bronchodilator , antihistaminic oranti-inflammatory acti vi ty . Rather , it stabi 1 izes the membraneof the mast cells and this prevents degranulation.
