Prenatal Development of Submandibular Gland of Albino Rat

the prenatal development of submandibular gland of albino rat was studied by using the light microscope.the rudiment of the gland appeared in embryos aged 14 days as solid cord ending in a terminal bud.the cord and the bud were embedded in a condensed mesenchyme.a clear basal lamina separated the bud from the mesenchyme.
