Abstract:
A prospective study was performed on 80 patients with(160) heal thy ea.rs who came to the general surgery departmentZagazig University Hospital. The aim of this study wasdetect the effect of different anaesthetic Agents and(Nitrous Oxide , Flothane , Ether and Spinalanaesthesia on middle ear pressure and hearing acuity. Thewere divided into 4 groups (group I (patients whoNitrous Oxide anaesthesia), group 11 (patients whohalothane general anaesthesia), group III(patientsrecevied Ether general anaesthesia and group IVrecevied Spinal anaesthesia». Each group20 patients with 4,0 healthy ears. Tympanograms were24 hours before the operation, 30 minutes after90During Nitrous Oxide anaesthesia, there was a highlyincrease in the middle ear pressure; measuredminutes after induction , when compared with thee-operative value.
