It is now generally accepted that the dis0ase is due to infection by Klebsiella rhinoscleromatis The bacillus can be isulated frum neurly every pati~ntB It disap~ears with clinical cure .Lastly animal inoculation has b~en reported to repro~uce scl~roma like lesions and the organism could be re covered from the experm~ntal lesiun The urganismbr can bl isolated from 9atients either by taking anasal swabs or examination a piece of tissue The urganism can be cultured on blood agar or cholJlate agar Many antibiotic have been tried in the treat ment of rhinoscleroma The mJst cvmmonly used drugs are the following streptomycin.
