leprosy in sharkia clinical and investlgative study

areview of the literature concerning the history of leprosy in different parts of the world was made and some points on epidemiology were also presented.the disease was discussed from the bacteriological point of view with amicroscopic and electron-microscopic descriptions of the leprosy bacillus which was first discovered by hansen in 1874. points on culture of m.leprae were induced in the introduction; pathogenesis and histopathology of the disease were presented as well as the reactional states of leprosy and the recent classifications of the disease.immunology of leprosy was also mentioned.
