Abstract:
Network theory is an operational research technique which has been used for solving many problems in the fieldsof industrial and productive systems and management science.Three basic network structures are exist. These structures are the shortest path model, the maximum flow models and the In this aspcet the most widly used is the vity networks which is classified into three basicechniques CPM , PERT and GERT. The first model is the deterministic activity network which is better known under the acronym CPM (Critical Path Method) in which the durationeach activity is a fixed constant. The second model is probilistic activity networks which is better knownhe acronym PERT (Program Evaluation and Review echnique) iA which the uncertainty is introduced to theduration for each activity. The main difference between the ePM and PERT is related, mostly, to the manner of treatment presentation of the data and the results of analysis.is the generalized activity network which is (Graphical Evaluation and Review Technique).s echnique is charactrized by an uncertainty on the the cost and the realization of each activity.introduced for the research and development (R & D) and was extended to the areas of computer
