Abstract:
ary rimental and theoretical studies were carried out to investigate the haracteristics of the free jump, downstream of a control gate in a radial. . The sides of the basin are gradually diverging through a length ofa fixed angle of divergence equals 5.28°. The experimental study covered a wide ranges of theheight of step (Z = zJdl) from 0.0 to 4.2, height of end sill (S = sldl) from 0.0 to 3.4, position of step (LJLb) from 0.0 to 1.0,,radius of jump (ro) from 1.2-1.4,ud number (F 1) from 2-7.tistical models were developed for all the cases of the study to eristics of the free radial hydraulic jump.oretical models were developed to the relative depth and the relative of the jump. The theoretical models are verified using the experimentalIe Artificial Neural Network technique was applied to develop prediction dels to predict the characteristics of the free radial hydraulic jump for the ses of the study.
