weak subgrade soils, such as soft clay, should be treated to support both pavement structure and traffic loads .Reinforcing such weak soils with geosynthetics is considered a simple and an economic treatment method .The objective of this study is to evaluate the effect of reinforcing weak subgrades, with different geosynthetic types, on the soil characteristics represented by both bearing and shearing resistance.
