the world able to build fast enough forThe method that may cope wi th thisachieved by mixing concrete by thehauling it to placing sites.There is no country in needs of its population increasing requirements iscentral batching plants andThe objective of this research is to study and analyze the production eff ic iency of the EgYl2t ian concrete batching plant from the point of view of” quantity, cost, and quality withinthe Cairo region The ’study has taken into consideration the major fields related to the production efficiency for the concrete batching plants This has been accomplished throughtwo main channels ; (a) production analysis and (b) quality control analysis for the concrete batching plantSix dry concrete batching plants were selected in this study .The chosen six plants comprised five plants in five sites aroundCairo, and one plant in Ismailia .The production analysis for the case study included studying the production cycle for each plant , studying the ’factors affectingtheir productivity , and analyzing data to indicate the effect ofnonproductive time on the plant cost. Quality control analysis for the case study included an evaluation for the existing quality control system with respect to a proposed quality controlsystem for the batching plant .It is hoped that the outcome of this, study succeeds in introducing central mIxlng as a modern technique and inreflecting the production co nd i tions regarding this field in the Cairo region .
