Improving construction labor productivity system in Egypt

Labor costs conforms between 25%-45% from the total project cost,so reducing labor costs present a great potentialsource of increased Productivity. The engineering system of construction labor· control is a system aims to continuous labor productivity improvement depending upon real fieldmeasurements.The study aims to evaluate the .benefits of the engineeringsystem through an application in the field .The study presents the outlines of the engineering system,analyses the used labor operating system in a firm asa ”case study” in Egypt ,puts the engineering system in an applicable form through a computer program for productivity information analysis ,and presents the results of the application in the case study.
