Abstract:
The results were discussed in Chapter6 for different aspects of the current problems in the thesis, from which the following conclusions can be drawn. 7.1 Conclusions of the Thesis. The use of fuzzy theory proved to be a simple and powerful tool to solve the main problem of decision-making in electrical planning sector. Since the three important values of comparative assessment namely: (monetary, reliability, and environmental) are not measured in the same units, fuzzy decision-making is the way to directly make a decision without a need to unify units. Fuzzy decision systems proved its importance to formalize the decision-making process by ensuring that all criteria in this work are used. In addition, such systems provide an insight into which criteria have the most effect or more important on a particular electricity plan in Egypt, as a developing country and which can be also used generally in industrial rich countries. The capabilities of fuzzy decision-making technique to store, add, and modify the information of the technology characteristics and introduce it in grade values in the same program have overcome the problem of implementing the numerical part of the technology inventory database in other techniques. The sites, which verify the relative importance of the different factors of safety and environmental aspects for nuclear generation to be considered in Egypt are on-shore and inland places all the same. The segmentation method used to make energy analysis in this work has very good computational accuracy on LOLP, which seems quite logical to combine load and capacity probabilities in the Egyptian grid system. The use of segmentation method due to using of the chronological load curve overcomes the difficulties in WASP model due to using of load duration curve, which implies losing the sequence of occurrence of loads. The use of segmentation method enters into partnership with WASP with regard to the not-consideration of the transmission system. In Egypt, the NPP’s proved to be more economical in case of increasing the generation as compared to the conventional steam generation. The stability of the NPP’s integrated in the national grid of Egypt in the selected zone was approved as a validation process. 7.2 Recommendations for Future Work. The objective of this thesis designing as an engineering job but when it’s considered as a utility system the design problem is different and keeps changing. The future work in this field must be concerning the advanced control systems to improve NPP reliability and efficiency. It was the recommendations for the integration of NPP in the national grid of Egypt sooner or later as the previous speculation.
