Abstract:
In view of the limited water resources, research studies are needed to guide the available water resourcestowards efficient development. The substantial rise in thedemand for ground water use to supplement surface watersupplies asks for effecient management tool’s that could provide sound planning schemes for optimal development of aquifer systems. In order to solve the management problem of an aquifer system, we must be able to predict the response of thesystem to any proposed operation olicy, and to obtain the modified state of the system. Since it is impossible tocarry out experiment and tests in the real system itself to determine its response to activities proposed in the future, a model of the considered system has to the introduced.A model of the system is always presents in the form of a set of mathematical equations, the solution of which yields the behaviours of the system, and the process itselfis known as mathematical modelling of high-speed computers, the solution is often achieved by numerical techniques.
