Abstract:
The water supply project is one of the important projects in ourorld, that is required for developing . The water distribution systemeluding, pipes, fittings, valves, tanks and pumps. Determining theosts of project, and how to minimize these costs are the most importantbjectives through analysis and design with good level of service. Thecost of the distribution system of any water supply system may accountor 50% or more for the system entire cost. Water network of any cityrequires periodic expansion and improvement to get rid of bad serviceproblems.Taking into consideration a flow distributions which satisfying theflow continuity at each junction, and conservation of head pressuresaround any closed loop. Faqus network sector as an example. Severalattempts have been carried out and finally a trail was submitted towardsolving such problems. Developing optimum solutions are carried outusing computer. This thesis studying the factors which affect on the optimumdesign. These factors are: pressure head, flow rate, pipe diameters, velocity of flow through network pipes and head losses. This studypresents the assumed data as population, water consumption and waterource are expected to be in the year 2025, also the inflow, out flow, pressure, pipeline data and junction data. The obtained results ofcomputer are discussed for the two proposed designs which solve mostof the drawbacks of the network . The first design is composed of fortythree pipes in twelve closed loops and the second design of forty ninepipes in seventeen closed loops. The first design is recommended due to
