INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT OF WATER RESOURCES IN EASTERN DELTA

This research was concerned with the integrated water resources management concept which is considered the most important tool to get the maximum utilization of fixed and limited water resources. It contained short notes about water problem and future challenge in Egypt. Beside, it handled in brief with the main concept of integrated water resources management, non conventional techniques of water management and rule of mathematical model.This research handled with IWRM Policy in Egypt which the Egyptian Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation had approved to integrate all water management functions at district level to support decentralized management.The mathematical model MRIM was developed and applied on one of the original water resources and irrigation districts in Lower Egypt which is called Ibrahimia WRID as case Study of Integrated Water Resources Management in East Delta of the Nile. In addition an important conclusions and recommendations for further works were obtained.
