CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONSmarkets.Globalization of the Egyptian economy produces more stresses on the Egyptianfirms of the construction sector. It has become an open sector. It is experienced byintensive global competition and market pressures. The message that should bedelivered to the Egyptian construction and contracting sector is that within the nextyears, the sector should witness a sound increase in its competitive level both locallyand internationally. They are pushed aggressively towards the way of usingcompetition and co-operation as dual path to growth. Huge revenues both locally andinternationally are the keys to promising future.To examine this issue, the following issues have been addressed:* A throughout exhibition of the historical background of the Egyptianconstruction and contracting sector development since the beginning of theEgyptian 1952 revolution till to date, with a special focus on the 90’s decade.
