Abstract:	The aim of the present work was to study the effect of complexation on the electrical behaviour of direct orange dye. The composition of the complexes was investigated using IR, XRD and DTA techniques. The conduction mechanism is interpreted on the basis of the band theory. It has been established that the complexes obtained are electronic semiconductors.
