Abstract:
Heat pipes and thermosyphons are reliable, fully passive, highthermal conductors and self actuated devices utilized for transportinglarge quantities of heat energy. Closed, gravity-assisted, two-phasethermosyphons are wickless heat pipes fabricated as sealed tubes thatcontain small amount of working fluid, applying the phase changecharacteristics by means of evaporation and subsequent condensation.2- Normal and shear stresses at the critical sections of thecapping beam.3- Normal stresses at the base level of the coupled shear wall.4- Distributions of the shear and axial forces in the couplingbeams.5- Maximum drift of the coupled shear wall.
