Abstract:
A method is proposed to deal with resource allocationproblem under uncertainty. The conventional approachesdo not provide an adequate model for modes of reasoningthat are approximate rather than exact. Most modes ofhuman reasoning and all of commonsense reasoning fallinto this category.A certainty measure ”Certainty Factor (CF)” associatedwith every ”factual” statement used to represent the rangeof confidence associated with a particular fact orconclusion. In this study the theories have been developed toaccommodate uncertainties are introduced, then thecertainty theory is chosen. The basic concepts andtechniques and tools of Artificial Intelligence (AI) relevantto that subject are presented. In this work a practical system proposing the ResourceAllocation Approach RAA_Xprt dealing with uncertainty isimplemented. Implementation has been done on amicrocomputer system using PROLOG language.
