Abstract:
Complexes of copper(II) with Schiff bases derived from 3-amino- and 2-amino-pyridine and its derivatives with salicylaldehyde and omicron-hydroxynaphthaldehyde have been synthesized. The compounds have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR and electronic absorption spectra and differential thermal analysis. The data show the formation of two different types of compound with 1:1 and 1:2 metal-ligand stoichiometries and different thermal properties.
