Abstract:
wastewater could be disposed to surface water or ontoland. Disposal to surface water may kill the aquatic lifein the rereceiving water. Disposal into soil may beattributed to changeofthesoil physical, chemical, andbiological properties. The present work studied the effect of wastewaterapplication on some soil properties. The soil sample chosenwas sandy soil for its high percolation capacity, andthe wastewater samples chosen were primary treated for itslow suspended solids concentration to maintain longapplication period. The present work includes both experimental andtheoritical study. The exprimental works include the changein the soil hydraulic conductivity, PH, and soil organicmatter content. In addition, the study included thewastewater renovation through out measuring the dissolved, and suspended solids, PH, and biological oxygen demand. The theoritical study included soil clogging due to suspendedsolids in the applied wastewater, changes in the soilporosity, and groundwater mound under a recharging basin.
