Abstract:
The pyridazinone derivatives (a-e) were synthesized from the condensation of beta-(9-anthracenoyl) acrylic acid (1) with hydrazine derivatives. The behaviour of (2a) towards carbon electrophiles and carbon nucleophiles has been investigated. (2a) was reacted with alkylhalides under Grignard reaction conditions and ethyl bromoacetate under Reformatsky reaction conditions. Antibacterial activity of the prepared compounds were tested.
