Abstract:
A fast development in the demand and the large expansion of theE c rt ..network ip r-=» and !entral utilities of Saudi Arabia &nsistingjthe steadystate stability of the electrical power system is vital • This thesis presents a-- IIcomprebeiisive steady-state stability evaluation for the integrated system ofISceco-C and Sceco-E utilities electrical power system with accurate taodelingand simulation of power system elements. This thesis emphasises firstly, theimpact of power system stabilizer on the steady-state stability performance forthe isolated system (Sceco-C). Secondly, the evaluation and enhancing theI ........-----.. ---- .steedy-etate . stability(jJ:iteBa for the existing integrated system Sceco-C &Sceco-E by utilizing power system stabilizer is discussed. Thirdly; the effectof varying tie power on the steady-state stability performance and thecounter measure to stabilize the different load operating conditions areassessed. The study adopted eigenvelue technique to simulate the system. Theout come of this thesis is to suggest locations and power system stabilizer’sparameter values to improve tlie overall integrated system performance.
