Abstract:
CHAPTER (VII)SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONSThe investigated area is located at the central southern part of the east Nile Delta between Latitudes 30o 18’ N to 30o 41’ N and Longitudes 31o 22’ E to 310 57’ E covering an area of about 2600 km2. The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the potenTopographically, the investigated area is generally sloping northward. The surface of area is rolling at its southern portion, where the land rises to moderately elevated plateau. The elevation ranges from 5 m above sea level, to the north part, to about Geomorphologically, the region of study, which is apart of the east Nile Delta, distinguished into the following geomorphologic units: (1) The Nile Delta Flood plain, (2) Belbeis- El-Tell El-Kabeir- El-Salhiya old deltaic plains, (3) El-Ankabiya- Iweibed Geologically, the studied area includes sedimentary rocks belonging to the Tertiary and Quaternary age.
