Abstract:
The present investigation aimed to search for a novel antiphytoviral substances from soil bacteria against zucchini yellow mosaic virus (ZYMV) that infect cucumber plants. Cucumis sativus and other Cucurbitaceae plants are very important crops for human dTen bacterial isolates which showed high antiviral activity against ZYMV were identified and their inhibitory effect were studied in pre, post inoculation and seed soaking. Three bacterial strains represent the most potent isolates were used for optimizinMorphological, physiological and biochemical characteristics of the ten bacterial isolates revealed that these strains were Corynebacterium equi, Bacillus firmus and Pseudomonas sp strain I. The last bacterium was the most potent strain from the previous
