Lithofacies, Biofacies, System Tracts, and Relationships of the Miocene Subsurface sediments at Southern and East Nile Delta, Egypt

The Miocene depositional history of the Nile Delta is dominated by fluvial-deltaic, marginal marine and marine shelf sedimentation. It exhibits radical lateral facies changes according to the tectonic setting. Different attributions in age assignments chaSeven formations covering the studied succession, from older to younger they are: Tineh, Qantara, Moghra, Sidi Salem, Qawasim, Rosetta and Abu Madi, formations.
